NAFI CT/NY/RI Honors Alison Rodino with 2026 Lynn Douglas Bishop Tri-State Impact Award
Hartford, Conn. - July 2026 - NAFI Connecticut/New York/Rhode Island is proud to announce Alison Rodino, Director of Clinical Services for NAFI Rhode Island, as the recipient of the 2026 Lynn Douglas Bishop (LDB) Tri-State Impact Award, recognizing her exceptional leadership, innovation, and lasting impact across the organization.
Established in 2025, the Lynn Douglas Bishop Tri-State Impact Award honors leaders who embody the vision, collaboration, and commitment to excellence that defined Lynn Bishop's leadership throughout her distinguished career. Presented annually, the award recognizes individuals whose work strengthens programs, inspires colleagues, and advances NAFI's mission across Connecticut, New York, and Rhode Island.
Rodino has become known throughout the organization for her forward-thinking leadership and unwavering commitment to improving services for children, families, and communities. A respected clinical leader, she consistently combines innovative thinking with practical solutions, helping programs evolve while ensuring decisions remain grounded in sound clinical judgment and quality care.
"Alison is someone who is always looking ahead and asking how we can do things better," said Amy Lefebvre, Executive Director of NAFI CT/NY/RI. "She has an incredible ability to generate new ideas, strengthen programs, support staff, and build meaningful community partnerships. Her leadership reflects the very qualities this award was created to recognize."
Rodino's influence extends well beyond Rhode Island. Since 2016, she has served as a Risking Connection® Associate Trainer, helping staff across multiple states deepen their understanding of trauma-informed care, relationship-based practice, curiosity, and empathy. Through her training, she has equipped hundreds of employees with practical tools that strengthen both client care and organizational culture.
She is also an active member of NAFI's Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Committee, where she advocates for inclusive environments in which staff, clients, and families feel seen, respected, and valued. Her collaborative approach and commitment to belonging have helped shape initiatives that strengthen NAFI's workplace culture and reinforce its organizational values.
"Alison exemplifies the kind of leader who lifts others while continually pushing our organization forward," Lefebvre added. "Her creativity, compassion, clinical expertise, and dedication to continuous improvement have had a lasting impact across the Tri-State region."
Throughout her career, Rodino has demonstrated an exceptional ability to balance strategic vision with everyday operational realities, leading with humility, collaboration, and an unwavering focus on quality outcomes. Her work continues to strengthen programs, support employees, and improve services for the individuals and families NAFI serves every day.
As the 2026 recipient of the Lynn Douglas Bishop Tri-State Impact Award, Alison Rodino joins a growing group of leaders whose contributions exemplify the innovation, connection, and service that continue to shape the future of NAFI CT/NY/RI.
