NAFI CT’s Adolescent Sexual Behavior Treatment & Education Program (ASBTEP) is a community-based program for youth (ages 9-17) who have exhibited inappropriate sexual behavior that has resulted in court involvement. The program focuses on promoting safety while educating youth and their families on appropriate sexual behavior, boundaries, and healthy development.

Specific services include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed care to address the issues connected to the problem sexual behavior and help youth achieve developmentally appropriate life skills.

Care is provided in the family’s home and is based on the youth and family’s individualized needs. All youth and families receive educational interventions and comprehensive case management services. Youth and families with more complex needs receive more intensive clinical support. Aftercare services are available upon completion of treatment.
